Many tributes in the hunger games didn't suspect to find good objects to
use in the arena . They just thought to find the usual such as food/water or even weapons. But just then they would have never thought to find Night Vision Goggles. This was one of the things many tributes would like to have to hunt at night or even kill in the dark. It just happened to be in the orange Backpack that Katniss got.
This machine was invented by a man named William Spicer , a Stanford University
Professor(Taylor). He provided U.S armed forces with these night vision devices(Taylor) . They had an abilityto see the target over 200 yards away in the darkest night' s ever("HowStuffWorks "How Night Vision Works"" ). Some were made big and bulky and other's were made just like glasses but green.
Katniss Everdeen had got this orange bag at he beginning of the games. She got what she could without dieing. One night she had opened that bag to find food or water but for her surprise she found the goggles. That night she thought they were useful and used them to hunt.They were just normal green night vision glasses not the bulky kind but they worked alright cause she caught a rabbit.
